The School of
Hard Rock 2011

Instructed by Award-Winning Staff

Often copied but never duplicated, the School of Hard Rock has been working with young bands accross many genres since 2000. Participants will learn the "ins and outs" of the rock band, from the nitty gritty of rehearsals and individual coaching, to the finer details of the recording and production of their very own band CD. Participants will also benefit from regular outdoor recreation. An environmentally friendly camp since 2009, students bring litterless lunches to our “Boomerang Lunch Program”, explained below.

Session 1 - July 4 - 8
Session 2 - July 11 - 15
Session 3 - July 18 - 22
Session 4 - July 25 - 29

(Maximum 6 members per band.)

Full Day Sessions: 9:00 a.m - 4:00 p.m.

Expectations for Participants

We require that all participants in LMCi Summer Camps demonstrate respect for each other and the staff. This includes respect for

- each other's safety
- each other's feelings
- the property of other's and of LMCi

Any breach of this fundamental principle of respect will not be tolerated. Should a situation arise, parents will be informed and advised that a child may be removed upon a second occurrence. The remainder of any fees will be refunded minus a $30 administrative charge. So that we may ensure their safety, all LMCi Summer Camps participants may not leave their group or the facility without permission from a member of our staff. Participants are to eat lunch in designated areas. In addition, individual camps may have rules specific to their activities and facilities.

For those participating in Before and/or After-Hours Care, all participants must stay on S.M.A.R.T. Camp grounds at all times during the periods registered in the programme

Litterless Lunches

In order to make waste free lunches convenient and simple for parents, staff and students, we are implementing Boomerang Lunches this year. How do Boomerang lunches work?

Simple -- whatever comes to camp in a lunch bag goes back home (either in the stomach or in the lunch bag). We hope that this way you can see what your child is eating (or not eating) and put food scraps into your compost. Perhaps you are already doing this. If not, start to gather together the things you will need for a waste free lunch: reusable drink containers, cutlery and food containers.
