Keith Barstow is a pianist and drummer based in Toronto and originally from Napanee, Ontario. He started learning the piano at the age of five, studying with Martha Hill Duncan in Kingston and later with Mark Eisenman in Toronto. In 2016, he received his Grade 10 piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music and was awarded the Donna Gobin Memorial Rose Bowl by the Kingston Kiwanis Music Festival. 

Keith started learning the drum set around the age of nine, playing along with recordings and performing with the Napanee District Secondary School Concert and Jazz Bands. In high school, he attended Humber College Community Music School, where he studied with Ethan Ardelli and Morgan Childs. In 2017, he was a member of the National Youth Jazz Combo, led by Kirk MacDonald, which performed at MusicFest Nationals and at the Toronto International Jazz Festival. In 2021, he received a bachelor's degree in jazz performance from the University of Toronto, where he studied with Ernesto Cervini, Terry Clarke and Nick Fraser.

Keith has performed at venues such as The Emmet Ray, The Rex Hotel Jazz and Blues Bar and Jazz Bistro with Canadian jazz legends such as Pat Collins, Duncan Hopkins, Mike Murley, Reg Schwager, Neil Swainson, Steve Wallace and Perry White. He can be heard on Hannah Barstow's Beneath (2021), Adema/Manoukas Octet's New Roots (2022), Ale Nuñez's Juno-nominated album Under the Lemon Tree (2025), and Micaela Rae's Saccharine (2025).

As an instructor, Keith aims to foster students' natural curiosity in music, while instilling in them a sense of self-discipline that is required to develop their skills. He strives to accommodate each student's particular needs and interests and help them build a strong musical foundation. Keith began teaching at Lippert Music Centre in 2025.
