At Lippert, we only work with the most professional, experienced and qualified music teachers in Toronto. Our teachers are talented musicians with experience teaching all genres including classical, jazz, rock, blues, pop and more! They have experience in music education, performance, composition, improvisation, and audio engineering. On almost any given day, one of our teachers is out and about in Toronto making incredible music! All of our teachers are qualified with one, or several, post-secondary degrees in music and/or education. Furthermore, our classical teachers have additional Royal Conservatory of Music accreditation. Lippert teachers offer lessons in guitar, piano, voice, strings, woodwinds, brass, and more. Charleen holds a Masters in Music Education, Bachelor Degrees in both Music and Education, an ARCT in piano, and a Grade 9 Vocal Performance Certificate from the RCM.
Based in Toronto, Carlene is a thriving trumpet player and passionate educator. Carlene currently attends the Glenn Gould School of Music on a full tuition scholarship..
Yang Chen is a versatile percussionist and educator based in Toronto who is interested in collaborating with artists of all disciplines to create mutually satisfying works.

As a pianist and principal flautist of the National Concert Band, Michelle has performed in National Arts Centre in Ottawa and Chan Centre for the Arts in Vancouver.
Danielle Knibbe | voice • piano • theory • composition
After graduating from Grant MacEwan University with diplomas in Composition and Recording Engineering singer-songwriter Danielle Knibbe relocated from Alberta to Toronto.
Born in Vancouver, Michael has performed at music festivals and concert halls throughout Europe and North America and has been called "one of the most musical guitarists performing and recording today" (This is Classical Guitar).
Born in Ottawa, NICK MACLEAN is “one of the most gifted young Toronto pianists to come along in the last few years ” (Adrean Farrugia, Juno winning jazz pianist) and has quickly become one of the most in demand 20-something piano players in that city’s bustling jazz scene.
Clara Nguyen-Tran | viola • violin • piano • theory
Violist Clara Nguyen-Tran is an active and versatile performer of solo, chamber and orchestral music. As a member of the Aeris String Quartet, she won first place in the University of Toronto’s Galimir Chamber Competition (2018).
Whitney studied with Sandra Graham at the University of Ottawa and recently completed further graduate studies at the University of Toronto with Daniel Taylor and Wendy Nielsen.
Jenna Marie has a great passion for building inclusive music communities and thrives to promote safe and equal opportunity for all through the students she teaches, the bands she leads, music she writes and jams she hosts.
Ivana Popovic is a violinist, composer and theatre performer. She has over 20 years of experience of teaching violin, chamber music, piano and theory and has been working at Lippert since 2006.
Gabriel Quenneville-Bélair | piano ● theory ● accompaniment
Gabriel holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from the University of Minnesota, and a Master’s Degree from the Conservatoire de Musique de Montreal.
JUNO award winning harpist Angela Schwarzkopf concertizes throughout North America as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician and with many top chamber music, choral, and orchestral organizations.
Liam is an electric and double bassist, multi-instrumentalist and composer. He studied Jazz and Contemporary Music at Humber College in Toronto, Ontario.
Currently pursuing her doctoral studies at the University of Toronto with Shauna Rolston, Sarah completed her Masters in Music at McGill University with Brian Manker.

Maia is a classically trained pianist with her Bachelor of Music in Piano from the University of Toronto where she studied with Andrew Markow and Brian McDonagh.
Connor Walsh is a jazz, pop, and folk bass and guitar teacher from Edmonton, Alberta with a Bachelor of Music in jazz performance from the University of Toronto.
